Your Go To Guide for Lingerie This Valentines

Every woman knows that perfectly fitted lingerie can make you feel amazing. I've long been a lingerie fan and as I've grown older my tastes have changed. There's something about nice lingerie that makes you feel powerful, sexy and in control. And of course your partner will love it! So this Valentines Day why not treat your other half to you all wrapped up in beautiful lingerie or just leave this post open for your partner to see and let them treat you instead.

Rule No.1 - Know your size

Ill fitting underwear isn't good for your shape and can leave you feeling anything but sexy. Most department stores and lingerie boutiques offer a free measuring service so there's no excuse for not knowing your size. Lingerie should hug you in all the right places. Trying to squeeze yourself into a bra that's too small can really ruin the look.

Essie Bra in Nude  £95. Essie Brief in Nude £65. Essie Waspie Nude in £110 - Agent Provocateur.

Rule 2 - Know your Style

Not all styles suit all shapes. Balconettes are incredible for the larger busted amongst you. They're sexier than a full cup without trying too hard. A triangle bra can look amazing on a smaller bust. For Love and Lemons are great for the non-wired style and their designs are stunning. Rose Hungtingdon-Whiteley's collaboration with Marks and Spencer, Rosie For Autograph, includes a variety of shapes/styles.

Rule 3 - Black Lingerie Always Looks Good

Bright colours are great and looks especially good on dark skin tones but if bright lingerie just isn't your thing, then black is perfect for you. Everyone looks good in black! Always has been sexy, always will. Not only is black slimming but it is also widely available no matter your size or shape. Black is my go to colour.
